Requirements
- Proven production experience with BigQuery and Dataform or dbt.
- Strong knowledge of the GA4 BigQuery export schema and event parameter transformation.
- Expertise developing production-grade Python data pipelines with API integration experience.
- Experience deploying containerized data services using Cloud Run or similar cloud-native platforms.
- Strong understanding of Google Cloud IAM, service accounts, and cross-project deployment.
- Experience integrating Looker or Looker Studio with BigQuery for end-to-end metric tracing.
- Familiarity with cloud operations including monitoring, secrets management, and storage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities regarding data discrepancies.
- Experience working in client-facing environments with project managers and business stakeholders.
- Ability to estimate work accurately and manage project scope and budgets.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Experience mentoring engineers or providing technical guidance.
Responsibilities
- Design data architectures integrating GA4, marketing platforms, and CMS content into BigQuery.
- Manage the end-to-end data lifecycle from raw landing tables to dashboard-ready datasets.
- Build and operate Dataform projects including assertions, scheduling, and data quality controls.
- Develop and maintain Python ingestion services on Cloud Run with robust API handling.
- Configure cloud infrastructure including IAM, service accounts, monitoring, and cost controls.
- Troubleshoot data model discrepancies and map complex GA4 event parameters to KPIs.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to provide accurate estimates and manage budgets.
- Document technical architectures and operational procedures for effective client handover.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote consistent engineering practices.
