Requirements
- Proven experience shipping Dataform or dbt on BigQuery in production, including assertions and scheduled runs.
- Deep understanding of GA4 BigQuery export schema.
- Experience writing and owning production-level Python data pipelines.
- Expertise in API data ingestion with pagination, rate limiting, and idempotent backfills.
- Strong knowledge of containerization and deployment on Cloud Run or similar platforms.
- Proficiency with Google Cloud IAM, including service accounts, impersonation, and multi-project promotion.
- Experience connecting Looker Studio or Looker to BigQuery via service accounts.
- Ability to reconcile metrics discrepancies between source data and dashboard reporting.
- Ability to explain complex technical data concepts to non-engineering client stakeholders.
- Proven experience working within fixed budgets and collaborating with project managers.
Responsibilities
- Lead data engineering on client engagements to ingest GA4, marketing platform, and CMS data into BigQuery.
- Build and operate Dataform projects including assertions, scheduling, and production promotion.
- Develop and maintain Python ingestion services on Cloud Run with handling for rate limits, backfills, and error recovery.
- Configure client GCP environments including IAM, Cloud Monitoring, cost controls, and operational runbooks.
- Collaborate with project managers and client stakeholders to provide estimates and explain technical data decisions.
