Requirements
- 6+ years of engineering experience spanning data and infrastructure.
- Proficiency in SQL and relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL and Snowflake.
- Experience implementing database-level access control (row-level/column-level security, RBAC).
- Experience operating production data pipelines and diagnosing issues like CDC failures or schema drift.
- Fluent in Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Proficient in automation using Ruby and SQL.
- Experience partnering with non-engineering teams to translate reporting requirements into data models.
- Strong understanding of cloud cost management and engineering scalability.
- Demonstrated focus on data quality, observability, and system compliance.
- Experience with HIPAA-regulated data and PHI isolation is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with dbt, Metabase, Kafka/Debezium, or AWS data infrastructure is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and scaling of the data warehouse and analytics platform.
- Manage the architecture and implementation of isolation models, warehouse pipelines, and provisioning infrastructure.
- Enforce database-level security and access controls to ensure customer data privacy.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to build and maintain data models and dashboards.
- Automate and harden systems to ensure data quality, scalability, and compliance.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production data pipelines, including managing CDC failures and schema drift.
