Requirements
- Postgraduate degree in Environmental Policy, Environmental Science, Energy Policy, Sustainability, or a related discipline.
- 10 or more years of relevant professional experience in research, policy, consulting, or academia.
- Significant experience leading or coordinating multidisciplinary research projects.
- Proven capability in managing and mentoring research teams.
- Strong research, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English proficiency.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex research for policymakers and non-specialist audiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- Familiarity with standard digital workplace and project management platforms.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate strategic research priorities for the Energy & Environment division.
- Manage applied research projects from design through data collection and analysis.
- Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to Research Officers.
- Translate research findings into policy-relevant recommendations for governments and international organizations.
- Review and approve research reports, briefing papers, and concept notes.
- Represent the institute's research agenda at conferences, webinars, and policy forums.
- Collaborate across internal divisions to develop research proposals and cross-disciplinary initiatives.
