Requirements
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with backend development and comfort working across the full stack.
- Proficiency or ability to quickly learn TypeScript, React, GraphQL, Node.js, Python, Golang, and SQL.
- Experience building reliable, high-performance, and secure products.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and navigating undefined technical problems.
- Ability to make deliberate, lean architectural trade-offs.
- Experience or strong interest in using AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code.
- Ability to travel to London monthly for in-person meet-ups.
Responsibilities
- Ship features end-to-end including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production monitoring.
- Own technical design by choosing pragmatic approaches and writing RFCs with minimal guidance.
- Maintain system reliability by responding to incidents and improving observability, security, and performance.
- Refactor code, manage dependencies, and reduce technical debt to improve project delivery.
- Embed AI-assisted development using Claude Code across the full development workflow.
