Requirements
- PhD or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of leadership experience in data elaboration or computational modelling within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or medtech industry.
- Strong skills in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, R, JavaScript) and data manipulation (e.g., SQL).
- Knowledge of drug development processes and regulatory requirements (GMP, FDA, ICH, EMEA).
- Understanding of mathematical models, advanced analytics, and statistical analysis techniques.
- Familiarity with simulation and modeling techniques for R&D processes, plants, or product design.
- Experience with big data management and deep learning/machine learning.
- Ability to understand stakeholder needs and translate them into theoretical equations and code.
- Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a high-performing team dedicated to data elaboration and visualization.
- Translate stakeholder needs within R&D into effective data elaboration and visualization solutions.
- Drive the digital transformation of R&D by contributing to and implementing the digital roadmap.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of data models and visualizations from design to deployment.
- Develop and implement advanced analytical models for data-driven decision making.
- Support the definition and management of the R&D data elaboration platform, including HPC solutions.
- Collaborate with the Center of Innovation and Competence to enhance data capabilities.
- Forge and manage strategic partnerships with external organizations and universities.
