Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant professional work experience in events management and/or communications/marketing.
  • Understanding of key administrative duties.
  • BSc/BA in Communications, Marketing, Event Management, Administration, or related field (experience accepted in lieu of education).
  • Proven ability to support event and/or conference planning, including webinars, stakeholder meetings, and in-person events.
  • Comfort with virtual event management platforms such as Zoom or Teams.
  • Proficiency with MS Office.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily event administration, including monitoring event-related emails and maintaining records and the event tracker.
  • Process invoices and payments, and support staff receiving funding for event participation.
  • Manage contracts, speaker agreements, nomination letters and other documents throughout the finalization process and legal clearance.
  • Collate quarterly statistics for Event progress reports.
  • Support event logistics for major event and large delegations, including participant registrations, accommodations, transport, and meeting venues.
  • Proactively lead communications around Verra’s engagement at external events, including social media, website content, and news announcements.
  • Manage inventory and print requirements for communication materials for major events.
  • Manage internal event communications and updates to enhance collaboration.
  • Serve as the primary contact for CEO briefing notes related to bilateral meetings.
  • Coordinate recommendations and comprehensive briefing materials for CEO public-facing engagements.
