Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience in software development and team management.
- Previous experience reporting to a Founder or Senior Leadership team or working in small, high-growth scale-ups.
- Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, information systems, IT, or similar.
- In-depth knowledge of Python (at least 7+ years).
- Understanding of JavaScript/Vue.js.
- Extensive experience in developing, deploying, and integrating software solutions.
- Proficiency in documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics.
- Strong knowledge of software development best practices.
- Ideally previous experience in an e-commerce, online marketplace, or OTA business.
Responsibilities
- Manage the software engineering team, providing structure and purpose.
- Accelerate product development by streamlining processes and introducing agile methodologies.
- Monitor performance metrics and provide transparent, regular updates.
- Eliminate roadblocks and resolve issues to maintain productivity.
- Provide clear goals, guidance, and realistic project milestones.
- Oversee release management including testing and deployment.
- Ensure code quality and consistency.
- Recruit and hire technical talent.
- Present input to strategic technology decisions and roadmap development.
