Requirements
- 7-8+ years of hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails.
- Strong product and business understanding.
- Ability to design, implement, test, and operate solutions in production.
- Proficiency with monitoring, observability, and data analysis tools for production troubleshooting.
- Experience improving engineering practices through documentation, RFCs, and code reviews.
- Ability to work autonomously on high-impact initiatives.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas clearly.
- Collaborative team-player mindset with a focus on ownership.
- Willingness to adopt AI-assisted development tools without compromising quality.
Responsibilities
- Understand and frame user and product problems to deliver simple, pragmatic, and valuable solutions.
- Lead significant technical deliveries within your squad, from design and implementation to production operation.
- Investigate and resolve complex production issues using monitoring, observability, and data analysis tools.
- Design and evolve robust solutions, identifying performance, scalability, and reliability opportunities.
- Improve engineering practices across the organization via code reviews, pair programming, documentation, and RFCs.
- Act as a role model for other engineers, providing actionable feedback and sharing knowledge.
- Collaborate effectively with other teams, unblocking technical topics and communicating progress and risks.
