Requirements
- 10+ years in application support, technical operations, or platform support.
- Proficiency in writing complex MySQL SELECT queries with JOINs and subqueries.
- Hands-on experience with cloud log platforms such as GCP Cloud Logging, CloudWatch, or Splunk.
- Familiarity with microservice architectures and tracing requests via correlation IDs.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, including HTTP status codes and request chain tracing.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring or guiding junior technical staff.
- Excellent written communication skills for incident updates and client-facing messaging.
- Disciplined approach to change-control processes in production environments.
- Familiarity with Zendesk as a support platform.
- Basic proficiency in Python or Bash scripting for automation tasks.
- Previous experience working in regulated or compliance-sensitive environments like fintech or banking.
Responsibilities
- Lead investigation of complex, multi-service incidents during IST hours from first signal to root cause.
- Utilize GCP Cloud Logging and Monitoring to trace failures across microservice boundaries.
- Execute complex MySQL queries against production read replicas for transaction and data investigation.
- Serve as the senior technical point of contact for India bank client issues during IST hours.
- Own the India-to-US shift handoff process, providing clear documentation of open incidents.
- Mentor the India-based junior analyst through 1:1 sessions, code reviews, and pair investigation.
- Maintain and expand the team knowledge base and MySQL query library.
- Contribute to team automation efforts using Python or Bash scripts.
