- Strong track record building substantial production UI.
- Ability to bridge design and frontend engineering in complex environments.
- High bar for layout, typography, interaction, motion, responsiveness, and accessibility.
- Proficiency in writing clear, maintainable frontend code.
- Ability to reason about state, component architecture, performance, and testing.
- Strong design judgment for resolving incomplete specifications or constraints.
- Systems thinking for reusing, extending, or creating patterns and abstractions.
- Strong communication skills for a remote, asynchronous environment.
- Experience with modern frontend tools and AI-assisted development workflows.
- Ability to make sound trade-offs between customer value and technical risk.
Responsibilities
- Translate design intent into polished, production-quality experiences.
- Move fluidly between Figma and code to resolve specification gaps.
- Collaborate with Design and Engineering to shape complex product experiences.
- Make thoughtful technical and design trade-offs regarding feasibility, scope, and risk.
- Contribute to the evolution of the design system and shared component library.
- Ensure high-quality implementation of layout, typography, motion, and accessibility.
- Take ownership of design engineering projects end-to-end through to production.
