Requirements
- 8+ years in software engineering.
- 2+ years managing engineers or leading delivery for a team you were accountable for.
- Track record of shipping mission-critical software to production.
- Experience building roadmaps, planning capacity, and negotiating with stakeholders.
- Experience prioritizing and estimating work, with the ability to manage trade-offs.
- Demonstrable experience giving developmental feedback and managing underperformance.
- Technical proficiency in AWS, CI/CD, k8s, Ruby/Python, and GitOps.
- Hands-on experience directing AI agents for production changes.
- Understanding of logging, monitoring, and telemetry.
- Security-focused mindset in design and development.
- Excellent written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 5 engineers across Platform and Engineering Systems squads.
- Manage hiring, onboarding, and ongoing professional development for team members.
- Oversee squad delivery, including sprint shaping, backlog refinement, and initiative estimation.
- Ship production code every sprint using the same agentic workflows as the team.
- Own operational health, including on-call rotations, MTTR, and post-incident analysis.
- Manage annual vendor budgets and spending for key infrastructure contracts.
- Develop automation and evidence management processes to streamline audit responses.
