Requirements
- 5+ years of experience writing production code.
- Deep experience with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch in production (indexing, query design, relevance tuning).
- Experience with Ruby, C#, Java, or Python (Ruby on Rails preferred).
- Strong JavaScript or TypeScript fundamentals, including React.
- Full-stack experience with backend systems, APIs, data modeling, and frontend development.
- Experience building search, ranking, recommendation, or matching systems.
- Practical experience applying AI or ML techniques (e.g., embeddings, semantic search, classification).
- Experience collaborating with Product and Design in user-facing problem spaces.
- Ability to mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to define requirements and drive product development.
- Build and improve full-stack experiences for Talent Matching, Talent Rediscovery, and related workflows.
- Design and ship search-backed capabilities using OpenSearch or Elasticsearch, including indexing and relevance tuning.
- Develop matching systems using AI/ML techniques such as embeddings, similarity search, and classification.
- Partner with Applied ML and engineering teams to evaluate performance, latency, and reliability trade-offs.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, conduct code reviews, and contribute to engineering practices.
