Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in healthcare operations, chart retrieval, risk adjustment, or HEDIS/quality program support.
- 1+ years of experience training, coaching, or leading the daily work of other individual contributors.
- Working knowledge of risk adjustment and HEDIS retrieval workflows, including chase, AID, and pend code concepts.
- Experience managing provider-facing communication and resolving escalations.
- Strong organizational skills for managing and rebalancing team work assignments.
- Proficiency in Excel and experience with chase or case management systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Direct experience supporting Medicare Advantage or ACA health plan programs is preferred.
- Prior formal training or onboarding experience in a call center or retrieval setting is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for high-volume provider organizations and maintain direct relationships.
- Distribute and rebalance daily retrieval assignments across the team to maintain queue flow.
- Onboard and train new staff on retrieval workflows, pend code handling, and platform processes.
- Resolve first-line provider escalations regarding record requests and outreach issues.
- Monitor team-level retrieval performance and provide day-to-day coaching on outcomes and quality.
- Maintain accurate records of assignments and escalation statuses while updating training materials.
