Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a programmer in the game industry or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
- Shipped at least one game as a senior or lead programmer.
- Expert working knowledge of C++, Standard Library, and Object Oriented Design.
- Strong understanding of general and 3D math, statistics, and probability.
- Proven ability to tackle complex technical problems in creative ways.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong ability to estimate workload and execute tasks within estimated timeframes.
- Demonstrated experience in mentoring programmers in coding and career development.
- Experience contributing to planning product releases with project management teams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for playing and creating innovative games.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Technical Director to establish a unified technology vision, including writing and reviewing technical design documents.
- Produce high-quality, efficient, clean, and modular code.
- Research, synthesize, and test computer-based systems to optimize architecture and performance.
- Lead and coordinate teams in the development of software, including embedded systems and process control.
- Assess, troubleshoot, and develop maintenance procedures for applications software.
- Mentor and train programmers to create a culture of cooperation and professional learning.
- Provide and accept feedback on code quality regarding performance, readability, and design.
- Work with Production to create, risk-manage, and schedule project milestones.
- Coordinate the hiring, supervising, and managing of team members.
