Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a technical discipline or related field.
- At least 5 years of project management experience, preferably within manufacturing, supply chain, or supplier management environments.
- PMP certification is required.
- Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent process improvement experience is preferred.
- Strong experience conducting supplier assessments and managing corrective action initiatives.
- Demonstrated knowledge of continuous process improvement methodologies and practices.
- Active Secret security clearance required.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% within the continental United States.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment while collaborating with distributed teams.
- Ability to analyze operational issues, identify root causes, and translate findings into practical corrective actions.
- Strong understanding of supplier performance, delivery, quality, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare professional reports and executive briefings.
Responsibilities
- Lead and direct supplier assessments for critical suppliers within the maritime industrial base.
- Evaluate supplier performance against key objectives, including first-pass yield and on-time delivery.
- Conduct root cause assessments to identify operational and process issues affecting supplier performance.
- Develop, implement, and monitor corrective actions to address identified issues.
- Partner with suppliers to drive continuous process improvement and strengthen long-term resiliency.
- Manage assigned projects throughout the full lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Ensure project activities remain aligned with program objectives, scope, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate activities across technical, operational, administrative, and supplier-facing functions.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to support successful delivery.
- Maintain clear communication with internal teams, external suppliers, senior leadership, and government stakeholders.
