Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on Workday Financials experience.
- Proven experience with at least one full Workday implementation and post-go-live tenant ownership.
- Deep configuration expertise in Core GL, AP, AR, Banking & Settlement, business process framework, and FDM.
- Proficiency in Workday reporting including custom/matrix reports, calculated fields, and BIRT.
- Strong technical skills in integration tooling: EIBs, Core Connectors, Workday Studio, web services, and RaaS.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles including chart of accounts, period close, reconciliations, and audit requirements.
- Demonstrated systems thinking ability to design and troubleshoot end-to-end processes across integrated SaaS tools.
- Excellent communication skills in English; capable of translating technical concepts for Finance stakeholders.
- Engineering mindset with focus on structured troubleshooting, testing discipline, and documentation.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment based in Berlin.
Responsibilities
- Manage technical ownership of the Workday tenant, covering record-to-report, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, and banking processes.
- Transition ownership from the implementation partner, hardening configurations and establishing technical standards for consultants.
- Design and build integrations including EIBs, Core Connectors, Studio integrations, web services, and RaaS reports.
- Advise Accounting and Finance on system capabilities and design solutions for business requirements.
- Perform tier 2/3 production support, lead regression/UAT testing, manage bi-annual Workday releases, and maintain configuration documentation.
- Develop custom reports, dashboards, and calculated fields to support financial reporting and decision-making.
- Oversee technical expansions for modules like HCM, treasury, automated VAT reporting, and payroll.
