Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 4–7+ years of relevant experience, ideally within a CPG or consumer products organization.
- Experience working with major retail partners such as Costco, Target, Ulta, or comparable retailers.
- Strong financial analysis and strategic thinking skills.
- Experience supporting retail planning, budgeting, forecasting, P&L analysis, or commercial finance.
- Deep understanding of retail economics, trade spend, customer deductions, and retailer fees.
- Proficiency in order-to-cash processes.
- Ability to analyze sales performance, market trends, and competitive dynamics.
- Strong cross-functional communication and business partnership skills.
- Experience building or improving financial processes, reporting tools, and dashboards.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and rapidly scaling environment.
- Strong ownership mentality and ability to work independently.
Responsibilities
- Support the execution of retail sales plans and budgets across grocery, mass, club, and specialty channels.
- Build dashboards and reporting to improve visibility into financial and commercial KPIs.
- Analyze new business opportunities, competitive dynamics, and financial risks.
- Partner with Sales on product launches, promotions, and merchandising strategies.
- Conduct post-event financial analysis of marketing programs to improve profitability.
- Assess financial opportunities and costs for product innovation and development.
- Monitor trade spend and COGS to identify efficiency improvements.
- Oversee order-to-cash processes, including invoicing, collections, and management of retailer deductions and fees.
- Collaborate in the S&OP process to improve demand visibility and forecasting.
- Provide financial updates and actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
