Requirements
- Extensive experience designing, implementing, and optimizing data warehouses in cloud environments (AWS or GCP).
- Strong hands-on expertise with data modeling and transformation tools, particularly dbt.
- Excellent SQL skills and experience with columnar data warehouses (e.g., ClickHouse, Databricks, BigQuery, Snowflake).
- Experience with data pipeline orchestration platforms like Prefect or Airflow.
- Understanding of scalable data pipelines, ELT processes, and warehouse performance optimization.
- Experience with software engineering practices including version control, code reviews, and testing.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, and manage ambiguity.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving mindset.
Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance data warehouse solutions.
- Develop reliable and well-documented data pipelines and ELT processes.
- Design and implement efficient data models and transformations using tools such as dbt and SQL.
- Optimize data warehouse performance through query tuning, partitioning, and indexing.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve warehouse infrastructure for performance and cost efficiency.
- Partner with data analysts and scientists to support data-driven decision-making.
- Integrate warehouse capabilities with application and service infrastructure.
- Contribute to the development of developer-facing data tools.
- Establish engineering practices for data quality, testing, and maintainability.
