Requirements
- Proven experience building, shipping, and bringing technology to market, ideally with governments as customers.
- Direct experience leading engineering, product, or digital service teams in a non-advisory, hands-on capacity.
- Track record of driving AI deployment in real-world settings, including strategy, governance, and responsible implementation.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and scaling teams from the ground up.
- Ability to represent complex technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders, including partners and funders.
- Expertise in establishing technical guardrails, security standards, and documentation.
- High level of technical depth sufficient to contribute to architecture and draft scopes of work.
- Comfort working in a small, high-agency, matrixed organization.
- Demonstrated commitment to the USDR Community Oath and values.
Responsibilities
- Provide product and technical leadership across USDR programs to assist government partners.
- Lead go-to-market strategy for shared tooling and evolve offerings like the Elections Administration Platform.
- Define and implement responsible AI adoption policies, guardrails, and internal AI fluency.
- Develop and lead a partner-facing AI team, contingent on funding.
- Set long-term technology infrastructure policy, principles, and operations.
- Guide internal adoption of tools and set technical standards across the organization.
- Manage organizational change initiatives and serve as a key member of the Executive Team.
- Participate in fundraising and development efforts to provide technical credibility.
