Requirements
- Proven people management experience leading software engineers.
- 3–5+ years of experience leading delivery of complex, multi-system engineering initiatives (SaaS, cloud platform, distributed systems, or enterprise software).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrated success as a senior software engineer, technical lead, or engineering manager.
- Technical background in backend services, APIs, distributed systems, or cloud infrastructure.
- Strong ability to plan, prioritize, and execute while managing ambiguity and dependencies.
- Experience improving engineering practices (design review, observability, testing, technical debt).
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for technical and senior leadership audiences.
- Proven ability to balance scope, schedule, quality, and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of software engineers including hiring, performance management, and career development.
- Set clear expectations, provide feedback, and foster an inclusive, accountable team culture.
- Coach engineers on execution, technical judgment, and collaboration.
- Own delivery, quality, and operational readiness for team commitments.
- Translate product and engineering strategy into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.
- Manage team capacity, execution risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs.
- Maintain engineering hygiene across planning, estimation, and technical debt management.
- Provide technical guidance on designs, implementation, and operational scalability.
- Partner with product managers, security, and SRE to deliver platform capabilities.
