Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on backend development experience in large-scale distributed serving systems.
- Proficiency in modern backend languages such as Go, Python, Java, Kotlin, Rust, or C++.
- Expertise in designing and maintaining scalable APIs using GraphQL, REST, or gRPC.
- Experience with high-throughput caching layers and distributed datastores like Redis, Cassandra, or PostgreSQL.
- Understanding of product usability, interaction design, and user growth loops.
- Experience designing experiments and working with performance metrics.
- Strong communication skills with experience driving cross-functional alignment.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity in fast-paced environments.
- Interest in using AI-assisted engineering tools.
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with Product Management, Product Design, Data Science, and Client Engineers to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Own the full software lifecycle for product initiatives from design docs and API contracts to rollout and observability.
- Design, build, and evaluate A/B experiments to analyze user behavior and retention.
- Build and maintain scalable APIs and distributed backend services optimized for client performance.
- Establish engineering best practices and improve developer workflows.
