Requirements
- 5+ years of .NET/C# development experience.
- 2+ years in a team lead, tech lead, or people-management capacity with direct reports.
- Direct, hands-on experience with HL7 v2.x messaging and clinical data exchange.
- Direct, hands-on experience with FHIR and SMART on FHIR including OAuth2/UDAP and CDS Hooks.
- Experience delivering software in a healthcare or other regulated industry.
- Comfort using AI-assisted development tools like Claude or GitHub Copilot.
- Experience with InterSystems IRIS for Health (preferred).
- Experience with Mirth Connect, Rhapsody, EMR/EHR integration, or BI/reporting tools like SSRS/Power BI (valued).
Responsibilities
- Manage a small interface development team, including hiring, performance reviews, career development, and technical direction.
- Own the design, build, and support of HL7 v2.x and FHIR-based integrations, including SMART on FHIR app authorization flows.
- Lead modernization of existing interface tooling and processes to reduce integration turnaround time.
- Champion AI-assisted development practices to accelerate mapping, validation, documentation, and testing.
- Partner with stakeholders to prioritize interface work against organizational goals.
- Establish data-quality, security, and compliance standards consistent with HIPAA requirements.
