Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of general ledger accounting experience.
- Foundational knowledge of GAAP and payroll regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to investigate financial discrepancies and analyze GL variances.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks).
- Advanced Excel capabilities including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
- High attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Analyze financial data and identify trends.
- Allocate costs to appropriate companies, general ledger accounts, and cost centers.
- Ensure accurate allocation of expenses to specific projects or departments.
- Reconcile payroll allocations to general ledger accounts.
