Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Understanding and adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
- Experience managing multiple clients at once, such as at a CPA or small accounting firm.
- Ability to work effectively with a Senior Accountant reviewer.
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Excel, project management tools, and AI assistants.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Import, categorize, and maintain transactional data for assigned Member accounts.
- Reconcile all reconcilable accounts, including monthly bank reconciliations.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data; investigate variances and irregularities.
- Organize and update financial records to maintain accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and issue accurate monthly financial statements.
- Oversee general accounting functions, including AP, AR, and sales tax processes.
- Prepare documentation for external auditors as needed.
- Recommend ways to improve workflows, reduce costs, or enhance revenue for Members.
