Requirements

  • Extensive experience managing US multi-state payroll.
  • High proficiency in payroll systems, specifically ADP Workforce Now and Kronos/UKG.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, and Macros.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Flawless English communication skills to explain complex tax issues to US-based staff.
  • Must be comfortable working 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM PHST to align with US time zones.
  • CPP certification is considered a massive plus.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor junior payroll staff to ensure professional growth and accurate output.
  • Manage the end-to-end payroll lifecycle for 15+ US states, serving as the final escalation point for complex issues.
  • Mastermind withholding, filing, and reconciliation for 15+ states including SUTA/FUTA, FICA, and local tax nexus.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for ADP Workforce Now, ensuring system integration and data integrity.
  • Lead the registration of new state tax IDs and manage SUTA/FUTA/FICA compliance across a growing US footprint.
  • Lead responses for federal and state tax notices, garnishments, and year-end W-2/W-3 reconciliations.
  • Provide C-suite executives with accurate reports on audits, 401k, and trends.
  • Shift the payroll function from manual processes to automated, scalable workflows.
