Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
- Active state teaching license in Biology grades 6-12.
- Experience teaching in virtual and/or in-person settings.
- Confident and engaging on camera.
- Able to teach live for five (5) or more consecutive hours per day.
- Hands-on experience with online learning platforms and virtual instruction tools.
- Data-informed with ability to read and act on student performance data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized and self-directed with strong time management skills.
- Commitment to maintaining certification and staying current on K-12 best practices.
Responsibilities
- Deliver live, on-camera synchronous instruction for five (5) or more hours per day.
- Use student performance data to personalize instruction and identify learning gaps.
- Provide timely, meaningful feedback on student work and maintain accurate records.
- Build genuine relationships with students and families through professional, proactive communication.
- Collaborate with school partners and Edmentum colleagues to ensure high-quality support.
