Requirements
- Appropriate state Department of Education High School (9-12) Social Studies Teaching Certification.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- One year of industry experience leading to certification or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong content and subject-matter knowledge.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general web-based tools.
- High-speed internet connection (minimum 25Mbps download/5Mbps upload).
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time for school functions.
- Ability to pass a required background check.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to obtain additional state licensing as required.
Responsibilities
- Deliver synchronous learning experiences for students.
- Monitor and report on student academic and pacing progress through the learning management system.
- Communicate regularly with students and parents via email or phone.
- Develop and apply instructional tools and strategies to enhance the curriculum.
- Participate in academic meetings with school administrators and attend virtual staff meetings.
- Organize orientation, training, and educational activities for students and families.
