- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a commitment to excellent customer service.
- Strong critical-thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities with careful attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and perform successfully in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working with technology and learning claims-related software, systems, and tools.
- Must obtain all required adjuster licenses within 60 days of hire and maintain them through continuing education.
- Must reside in New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or Delaware at time of hire.
- Must complete a background investigation.
- Must have a dedicated, private, distraction-free home workspace with appropriate desk and seating.
- Must have reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.
Responsibilities
- Investigate basic and occasionally moderately complex auto insurance claims and prepare clear and concise claim summaries.
- Evaluate claims to determine applicable coverage, liability, and damages while applying established guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct recorded statements with claimants, insureds, witnesses, and other involved parties as part of the investigation process.
- Negotiate and settle claims in accordance with established practices, guidelines, and applicable requirements.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive claim files, including investigation notes, summaries, supporting information, and documented decision rationale.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards throughout the full claim lifecycle.
- Collaborate with internal teams and relevant stakeholders to support efficient, accurate, and customer-focused claim resolution.
- Manage multiple claims and competing priorities while maintaining quality, accuracy, and timely follow-through.
