Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive leadership experience in strategic sourcing & procurement across indirect categories.
- Experience managing commercial, service provider relationships with major corporations in procurement, supply chain, IT, or facilities management.
- Prior experience in the higher education industry is highly preferred.
- Strong financial acumen with multi-year experience building and managing P&Ls.
- Demonstrated executive presence and ability to influence senior management.
- Proven experience in driving operational and organizational change management.
- Ability to manage a group of peers through influence.
- Entrepreneurial aptitude with a commitment to operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with business unit executive sponsors to ensure alignment of Indirect Category Management plans.
- Lead Indirect Spend category management for procurement transformation to ensure cost reduction and strategic supplier relationship management.
- Act as a strategic advisor to the client, influencing decision-making on operational and sourcing initiatives.
- Oversee delivery across all engagement workstreams and ensure client commitments are met.
- Drive change management programs to align business behaviors with mature procurement models.
- Establish and oversee the Indirect Spend program office and governance structure.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and support to onsite and cross-functional teams.
- Identify and implement sourcing prioritization models based on benchmarking and category best practices.
