Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive experience delivering UX, UI and service design within complex enterprise environments.
- 5+ years supporting digital transformation within government, the broader public sector or Crown corporations.
- A post-secondary degree or diploma in interaction design, human-computer interaction, UX design, product design, industrial design, graphic design, computer science or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience designing responsive enterprise applications, portals or complex digital-service platforms.
- Strong human-centered service-design experience, including user research, journey mapping, service blueprinting and current-state and future-state service modeling.
- Experience developing or governing enterprise design systems, component libraries and design tokens.
- Demonstrated application of WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards.
- Experience preparing production-ready specifications and supporting implementation through developer handoff and design QA.
- Strong stakeholder-facilitation and design-leadership capabilities.
- Experience working with cross-functional Agile delivery teams.
- Proficiency with Figma, Miro, and FigJam, as well as Jira or Confluence.
- Ability to work full-time during Alberta business hours.
Responsibilities
- Lead human-centered design across internal, partner-facing and public-facing digital services.
- Plan and conduct user research, including interviews, discovery workshops, usability testing, surveys and behavioral analysis.
- Map complex service ecosystems and develop current-state and future-state journey maps and service blueprints.
- Translate research, user needs and business requirements into information architecture, user flows, wireframes and interactive prototypes.
- Design intuitive, responsive and accessible interfaces for enterprise web applications and portals.
- Create and maintain enterprise design systems, including component libraries, design tokens and interaction standards.
- Apply WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility requirements throughout research, design and implementation.
- Facilitate design-thinking, co-design and stakeholder-alignment workshops.
- Collaborate closely with product, business, architecture, development and quality-assurance teams within an Agile environment.
- Prepare production-ready design specifications and support developer handoff, implementation and design QA.
