Requirements
- Solid foundation in computer science fundamentals including data structures and algorithms.
- Professional backend development experience.
- Experience or strong interest in Elixir.
- Experience with web development, specifically server-rendered UI (LiveView and TailwindCSS).
- Commitment to test-driven development, continuous delivery, and pairing.
- Strong judgement in using AI tools to augment development workflow.
- Data-driven mindset with a focus on delivering customer value.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a small, remote-first team.
- Bonus: Production experience with Elixir, Erlang/OTP, Phoenix, or LiveView.
- Bonus: Background in Ruby or other functional languages.
- Bonus: Experience with RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kubernetes, or Google Cloud.
Responsibilities
- Build and ship product features in Elixir and Phoenix LiveView from idea to production.
- Write well-tested, maintainable code using test-driven development.
- Participate in pairing and code reviews to maintain high quality.
- Contribute to technical and product discussions and roadmap planning.
- Work across an event-driven architecture using APIs and RabbitMQ.
- Utilize data and observability to monitor and improve production performance.
