Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5–7 years of progressive finance or accounting experience.
- Independent ownership of FP&A processes including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Experience with accounting operations such as reconciliations, close support, and journal entries.
- Solid understanding of GAAP and nonprofit accounting fundamentals.
- Strong proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including financial modeling.
- Experience with ERP systems (Sage Intacct preferred).
- Experience with financial planning tools (e.g., Vena).
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Own AR, revenue, and deferred revenue reconciliations end-to-end, ensuring accurate revenue recognition.
- Prepare and issue customer billings and manage collections.
- Support month-end close by preparing journal entries and maintaining checklists.
- Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Support annual budget and rolling forecast cycles in Vena.
- Prepare monthly budget variance analyses for leadership.
- Maintain PowerBI financial dashboards and build ad hoc financial models.
- Manage grant expense tracking and prepare financial portions of grant reports.
- Partner with HR to ensure payroll allocation accuracy and system data integrity.
