Requirements
- 5+ years of QA development experience with proven automated testing strategies.
- 2+ years of leadership, mentorship, or coaching experience.
- Strong command of JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks such as Cypress or Playwright.
- Proven experience with Shopify Hydrogen or similar eCommerce platforms.
- Experience integrating automated tests into cloud-based CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to analyze and report on quality metrics like defect leakage and test execution runtimes.
- Familiarity with API contract testing, performance profiling, and load testing.
- Humility, hunger for learning, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Optional but preferred: Experience with Python, PHP, Figma, Storybook, or Jest.
Responsibilities
- Architect, optimize, and scale automated testing frameworks across frontend storefronts and backend middleware.
- Integrate automated tests into cloud-based CI/CD pipelines to provide fast, reliable developer feedback.
- Improve quality metrics, including automation coverage, pipeline stability, test execution runtimes, and flaky test reduction.
- Guide and mentor other QA developers to raise the technical standard of the team.
- Perform API contract testing, performance profiling, load testing, and browser developer tool profiling.
- Collaborate with the web development team to ensure stable releases for Shopify Hydrogen storefronts.
