Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building and shipping production web applications and APIs.
- Strong proficiency in Python for service and integration work.
- Working React proficiency for frontend feature development.
- Ability to work in ambiguous, product-facing roles to turn requirements into scoped plans.
- Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with data-heavy applications.
- Comfort with cloud-native environments, specifically GCP.
- Proven track record of using AI development tools like Claude, Cursor, or Copilot with a clear verification process.
- Excellent communication skills for explaining technical tradeoffs to cross-functional stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Design and ship backend services in Python that turn model outputs into recommendations with focus on correctness and observability.
- Build React screens allowing customers to review, edit, and approve recommendations.
- Integrate Architect with the broader Haus platform by defining API contracts and managing system failure modes.
- Collaborate directly with product, science, and design teams to define product requirements.
- Maintain high codebase standards through tests, monitoring, and proactive refactoring.
- Utilize AI coding tools while maintaining rigorous verification of outputs.
