Requirements
- 1–2+ years of recruiting experience (3+ for Senior Recruiter).
- Experience in a small or early-stage organization.
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (Lever preferred).
- Comfort using AI tools in the recruiting workflow.
- Familiarity with the AI research landscape and research/nonprofit communities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize effectively under pressure with multiple stakeholders.
- High agency and ability to find answers independently.
- Capacity to provide transparent, constructive feedback to hiring managers.
- Ability to travel for three team retreats per year (strongly recommended).
Responsibilities
- Scope new roles with hiring managers by defining candidate profiles and timelines.
- Advertise, source, and manage candidate pipelines through networks and job boards.
- Design and implement effective skills assessments and screening filters.
- Lead candidate communications and provide timely feedback.
- Screen high volumes of applications and calibrate judgments with hiring teams.
- Project-manage 5–10 simultaneous hiring rounds, including scheduling and budget tracking.
- For Senior roles, drive strategic decisions regarding hiring analytics and budget allocations.
