Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data science, decision science, or an equivalent field.
- Experience serving as the primary data science owner for a business domain.
- Excellent SQL and Python skills.
- Hands-on experience working with data pipelines.
- Strong understanding of fundamental machine learning algorithms.
- Demonstrated experience putting machine learning models into production.
- Practical experience applying statistics and experimentation methodologies, including A/B testing.
- Good understanding of business practices, sales processes, and client behavior.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to present to senior leadership.
- Experience managing or mentoring team members, either formally or informally.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain accurate, reliable data models while conducting exploratory analysis that uncovers opportunities to improve sales processes and commercial performance.
- Define, prototype, implement, improve, and maintain machine learning models that address real-world business challenges and contribute directly to key commercial objectives.
- Design and analyze experiments to test business hypotheses, such as identifying which customers should be prioritized for outbound sales activity.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and performance metrics that give stakeholders clear visibility into commercial results.
- Collaborate with Data Science, Commercial Leadership, Sales Operations, Product, Design, and Engineering to translate business needs into data-driven solutions.
- Take ownership of high-priority initiatives and serve as a trusted decision science partner.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous learning by teaching teammates and supporting colleagues.
