Requirements
- Substantial in-house legal, privacy or compliance experience.
- Strong legal literacy and ability to apply regulatory requirements in a commercial setting.
- Significant hands-on privacy and data protection experience (e.g., vendor assessments, DPIAs, data subject rights).
- Experience running legal or compliance workflows and managing a varied caseload.
- Strong commercial judgement and ability to progress matters independently.
- Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills managing competing deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for non-legal audiences.
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence senior commercial and technical colleagues.
- Professional ethics, discretion and integrity.
- Willingness to challenge and be challenged.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate the privacy programme across the UK, EU, US and Canada.
- Lead DPIAs, legitimate interests, and other privacy risk assessments.
- Own Legal's intake and matter management, including triage, prioritization, and workflow improvements.
- Manage the contract lifecycle and negotiate agreements across marketing, technology, and supply chain functions.
- Coordinate the international trademark portfolio and brand protection enforcement.
- Maintain customer-facing legal documentation and ensure readiness for consumer-law requirements.
- Manage, mentor and develop the Legal Assistant.
