Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology.
- Minimum of 8 years of related experience (4 years in material handling or process industry) or Associate degree with 12 years of experience.
- Advanced knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code).
- Advanced skills in AutoCAD Electrical or similar drafting tools.
- Experience using Autodesk Suite, including Navisworks.
- Experience in project management or leading teams.
- Proficiency with Project Planning and Deliverables Tracking tools.
- Ability to travel domestically up to 30%.
- Strong conceptual thinking and ability to translate into detailed design.
- Ability to work autonomously in a remote environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop compliant electrical and process control systems meeting customer specifications and safety regulations.
- Peer review designs created by other engineers to ensure compliance.
- Optimize system functionality from as-sold to working design within budget constraints.
- Size components and equipment including conductor sizing, voltage drop, motor starters, and control panels.
- Design and approve complex process control systems including PLCs, VFDs, and Ethernet networks.
- Document engineering decisions through design plans, installation files, and instructions.
- Travel to customer sites to conduct surveys and support installation and commissioning.
