Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
  • 3+ years of dedicated experience with the ServiceNow platform.
  • Proven experience working in the federal contracting space (DoD, DHS, or Civilian agencies).
  • Strong experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Deep knowledge of ServiceNow ITSM and at least one other major workflow (ITOM, HRSD, SPM, ITAM, or Custom Applications).
  • Proficiency with backlog management tools such as Jira, ServiceNow Agile, or Azure DevOps.
  • Proficiency in process mapping tools such as Visio or LucidChart.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification.
  • Knowledge of federal IT standards, including Section 508 compliance and FISMA/NIST security controls.

Responsibilities

  • Lead client workshops to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements aligned with agency mission goals.
  • Translate business needs into comprehensive user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications using Agile/Scrum.
  • Conduct gap analysis between legacy processes and ServiceNow Out of the Box functionality.
  • Collaborate with the Agile Coach to design, document, and distribute Agile processes and SOPs for delivery teams.
  • Review user stories for accuracy and ensure they meet the Definition of Ready prior to sprint planning.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers and analysts regarding business context and ServiceNow best practices.
  • Conduct peer reviews of functional designs and test scripts to ensure quality control.
  • Develop detailed process maps, workflows, and data models to visualize service delivery.
  • Advise government stakeholders on ServiceNow best practices to minimize technical debt.
  • Develop and execute UAT plans, test scripts, and coordinate testing with government personnel.
