Requirements
- 5+ years of industry experience in applied machine learning, inclusive of MS or PhD in relevant fields.
- Strong programming skills (Scala / Python / Java / C++ or equivalent).
- Strong data engineering skills.
- Deep understanding of machine learning best practices, including training/serving skew minimization and A/B testing.
- Expertise in ML algorithms such as neural networks, deep learning, and optimization.
- Experience building end-to-end machine learning models in an industry setting.
- Experience applying large language models and modern NLP (e.g., sequence tagging/NER, text generation, intent classification).
- Experience with 3 or more technologies such as Tensorflow, PyTorch, Kubernetes, Spark, Airflow, Kafka, or Hive.
- Exposure to architectural patterns of large, high-scale software applications.
Responsibilities
- Work with large-scale structured and unstructured data to improve ML models focused on query understanding.
- Develop query understanding capabilities including autocomplete, smart compose, query tagging, and intent modeling.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners like software engineers and product managers to refine requirements and drive engineering decisions.
- Develop, productionize, and operate ML models and pipelines for both batch and real-time use cases.
- Leverage third-party and in-house machine learning tools and infrastructure to enable fast model development and low-latency serving.
