Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a technical discipline, or another relevant field.
- At least 5 years of professional experience.
- Proven experience managing or supporting large-scale software development, data management, and system integration initiatives.
- Strong understanding and practical experience with Agile, Scrum, and related delivery methodologies.
- Familiarity with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and Kanban methodologies is highly desirable.
- Experience using Agile project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar platforms.
- SAFe, Agile, or Scrum certifications are preferred.
- Experience working with the Department of Veterans Affairs or other government agencies is an advantage.
- Ability to obtain the required government clearance.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to facilitate discussions and brief senior leadership effectively.
- Excellent collaboration, stakeholder management, conflict resolution, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and translate stakeholder needs into clear, actionable outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, Demos, and PI Planning.
- Build strong relationships across highly cross-functional Agile software development teams to foster collaboration, transparency, innovation, and effective delivery within CI/CD environments.
- Proactively identify, escalate, and remove impediments that could affect team progress or project outcomes.
- Support the Product Manager with backlog management, ensuring work items are clearly defined, appropriately prioritized, and aligned with business objectives.
- Champion Agile values, quality practices, and continuous improvement while coaching team members on effective processes and best practices.
- Coordinate across organizations and work closely with senior client leadership and business stakeholders to promote process standardization and delivery improvements.
- Guide development teams toward greater self-organization, cross-functionality, accountability, and adoption of Agile principles.
- Facilitate healthy communication between development teams, Product Management, and stakeholders while mediating conflicts and resolving delivery issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve team and organizational processes and implement Agile best practices that enhance performance.
- Facilitate senior-level briefings and capture clear, actionable outcomes from meetings, stakeholder requests, and project discussions.
