Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in education, instructional leadership, curriculum implementation, or district-level instructional support.
  • Expertise in K-8 literacy instruction and high-quality instructional materials including Benchmark, CKLA, and MyPerspectives.
  • Deep understanding of the Science of Reading and its application to foundational skills and comprehension.
  • Knowledge of California English Language Development (CA ELD) Standards for Integrated and Designated instruction.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-school or district-level implementation efforts.
  • Proven track record designing high-quality professional learning aligned to standards.
  • Direct experience providing coaching to school or district leaders with observable changes in practice.
  • Experience as a primary client or partner relationship owner, managing expectations and accountability.
  • Experience managing and developing staff or team members.
  • Practitioner-level competency with artificial intelligence tools for efficiency and insight.
  • Ability to travel weekly to school sites within Northern California and occasionally for national events.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full lifecycle of ELA implementation across seven schools, from launch through measurable impact.
  • Build the capacity of school and district leaders to sustain excellence in literacy instruction.
  • Design and facilitate job-embedded professional learning cycles to improve teacher practice.
  • Conduct learning walks and provide precise debriefs to leaders to identify instructional trends and needs.
  • Translate complex literacy science and data into actionable insights for diverse stakeholders.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to district leadership to surface risks and drive program strategy.
