Requirements
- Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Curriculum Development, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in curriculum and instructional design.
- Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role managing instructional design teams.
- Proven experience in recruiting, mentoring, and managing instructional designers.
- Expertise in competency-based learning models.
- Expertise in integrating adaptive learning technologies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of U.S. Department of Education regulations and accrediting agency requirements.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Ability to maintain a dedicated quiet home office and high-speed internet connection.
Responsibilities
- Manage and develop direct reports by setting goals, coaching, and facilitating growth.
- Evaluate coursework and provide actionable feedback on design and faculty collaborations.
- Contribute to the evolution of online course-design methodologies and emerging technologies.
- Improve design and production processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Oversee projects to ensure completion on time and within budget.
- Make data-informed decisions on resource allocation and assist in recruitment and retention.
- Design and develop courses as assigned.
- Ensure positive and productive relationships with faculty and stakeholders.
- Lead onboarding for new instructional design staff and contractors.
- Collaborate with project management to scope projects and define schedules.
