Requirements
- 6+ years of hands-on experience owning IT or corporate engineering at a growing company.
- Deep ownership of an identity provider (Okta, Entra, JumpCloud) including SSO, SCIM, SAML, and entitlement modeling.
- Practical experience managing Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 platforms.
- MDM and endpoint experience across macOS and ideally Windows.
- Automation ability in at least one scripting or programming language (Python, Go, TypeScript).
- Experience designing access models and running access reviews.
- Proven ownership of identity security decisions, such as MFA and conditional access policies.
- Track record managing an outsourced IT provider or MSP.
- Strong written communication skills for asynchronous, cross-team environments.
- Experience in a regulated or audited environment (SOC 2, PCI, or bank partnership) is strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting employees and contractors across multiple countries is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Own IT and corporate engineering end to end: the roadmap, the budget, the vendor relationships, and the outcomes.
- Manage our external IT partner as delivery capacity, defining scope, setting SLAs, and owning escalation paths.
- Design the joiner, mover, and leaver process and the entitlement model for rapid onboarding and same-day offboarding.
- Administer and improve identity and productivity stack (Okta, Google Workspace) including SSO, SCIM, and group design.
- Own operational policy regarding device standards, access-request workflows, and SaaS procurement review.
- Build automation for provisioning, access reviews, and license reconciliation to remove manual work.
- Run the endpoint and MDM program across a distributed company.
- Own corporate security posture, including MFA, conditional access, and third-party OAuth/Workspace grant reviews.
- Partner with security engineers on identity decisions and data provisioning.
