Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in test automation engineering, SDET, or software engineering.
- Hands-on experience with Agentic AI tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot).
- Hands-on experience with Playwright or a comparable modern end-to-end testing framework.
- Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript with production-quality coding skills.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, specifically GitLab.
- Solid understanding of REST API testing and testing strategy.
- Experience building automation for claims systems, contract testing, and user flow journeys.
- Experience migrating legacy test automation to a modern framework.
- Ability to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Builder mindset focused on systems and feedback loops.
Responsibilities
- Build and hands-on improve AI-driven test automation workflows using tools like Claude Code where AI agents manage the test lifecycle.
- Refine the Playwright test framework, patterns, page-object models, and fixtures to improve AI-assisted test generation.
- Develop feedback loops between local test execution, CI pipelines, and merge requests to enable AI-driven issue resolution.
- Drive the migration from Geb/Spock to Playwright while maintaining continuous test coverage.
- Integrate and optimize Playwright execution in GitLab CI/CD pipelines with quality gates and parallelization.
- Instrument tests to track pass/fail trends and flakiness, prioritizing AI-driven test generation for high-value areas.
- Build API-layer automation and contract tests for microservice boundaries.
- Develop automation for claims systems, system integrations, and end-to-end user journeys.
