Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software/Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field.
  • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 2+ years at staff level.
  • Strong proficiency in Python; working experience in Java is a plus.
  • Deep experience designing, building, and operating scalable, enterprise-grade distributed systems on AWS.
  • Proven record of owning significant technical initiatives end-to-end from design through release.
  • Strong data-modeling and service-architecture skills, with experience creating durable, reusable abstractions.
  • Solid grounding in application security, multi-tenancy, token handling, and permission-aware data access.
  • Experience designing high-scale API contracts with deterministic behavior and idempotency.
  • Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD for cloud services.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems observability (logging, metrics, tracing, alerting).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cross-team technical architecture decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Own canonical data models, service boundaries, and architectural design integrity for critical platform domains.
  • Design and steward AWS-native, event-driven, and asynchronous services that prioritize scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Develop secure multi-tenant architectures, including robust authentication, authorization, and tenant-isolation strategies.
  • Lead complex, cross-functional technical initiatives, driving alignment across teams and documenting architectural standards.
  • Design versioned, high-scale API contracts and ensure reliability through infrastructure-as-code and observability.
  • Mentor senior and mid-level engineers while identifying opportunities for platform modernization and technical improvement.
