Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 6+ years of experience in an engineering role related to data analytics.
- 3+ years of experience developing applications leveraging Python and/or NodeJS.
- Strong experience with modern architectures for data storage, transformation, and governance.
- Experience with a range of data storage technologies such as Apache Parquet, Apache Iceberg, SQL, and no-SQL databases.
- Experience developing cloud-hosted applications using serverless services like Lambda, ECS, Fargate, SQS, and Kinesis.
- Experience architecting solutions using the AWS Well Architected Framework.
- Proficiency in infrastructure automation via Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices including Git, CI/CD, and automated testing.
- Must be able to work the hours of 8am-5pm Eastern Time.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and sustain data analytics infrastructures including AWS Athena, S3, and Elasticsearch.
- Implement and refine data pipelines for the extract, transform, and load (ETL) of new data streams.
- Support data management activities including retention, curation, and catalog management.
- Develop or extend data schemas with a focus on automation.
- Prepare data visualizations and reporting for leadership and development teams via Kibana, AWS QuickSight, and Google Analytics 4.
