Requirements
- Strong software engineering fundamentals with the ability to contribute to production codebases.
- Proficiency in at least one of Python, Go, or TypeScript.
- Experience leading security reviews or threat models for complex production systems.
- Deep understanding of common vulnerability classes including injection, authorization flaws, IDOR, and SSRF.
- Knowledge of modern application architecture, including APIs, OAuth/OIDC, containers, and Kubernetes.
- Ability to reason rigorously about untrusted input, authorization, and data boundaries.
- Proven experience driving security improvements across multiple engineering teams.
- Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Nice to have: Experience building security tooling like SAST, DAST, or custom linters.
- Nice to have: Experience securing multi-tenant SaaS or enterprise software.
- Nice to have: Offensive security experience or participation in vulnerability disclosure programs.
Responsibilities
- Lead security reviews for architecture, code, and security-sensitive changes.
- Evaluate risks in AI-powered products such as prompt injection, unsafe tool use, and identity failures.
- Threat model new capabilities to identify trust boundaries and abuse cases before implementation.
- Perform hands-on testing, including developing proofs of concept and assessing exploitability.
- Build scalable security guardrails, automated checks, and reusable controls.
- Strengthen engineering capability by pairing with engineers and documenting security guidance.
- Influence risk decisions by communicating technical findings to engineers, leaders, and executives.
