Requirements

  • 5+ years of pre-sales engineering experience with a focus on Identity and Access Management.
  • Deep understanding of IAM standards including OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, lifecycle management, and RBAC.
  • Hands-on development experience in web, mobile, backend, or real-time communications engineering.
  • Proficiency with technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, frontend frameworks, Java, C#, Node.js, Python, or Ruby.
  • Strong experience with REST APIs, API gateways, SDKs, and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP, or Vercel.
  • Understanding of application security principles like password hashing, SSL/TLS, encryption, XSS, and XSRF.
  • Proven customer-facing experience in pre-sales engineering, consulting, or technical support.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts through whiteboarding.
  • Experience engaging with both technical and executive business stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage territory, build pipeline, and collaborate effectively with sales teams.
  • Strong diagramming skills for user journeys and system architecture.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Corporate/New Business sales teams to act as the technical and domain expert throughout the sales cycle.
  • Understand customer challenges and position solutions that directly address their business and technical needs.
  • Plan and deliver compelling product demonstrations, technical presentations, and customized solution experiences.
  • Answer product, architecture, and technical questions from customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Design and manage Proof of Concepts for complex customer use cases, collaborating with engineering teams.
  • Provide actionable feedback to product management regarding customer needs and product enhancements.
  • Share reusable technical assets, demonstrations, and best practices with the broader team.
  • Support executive briefings, conferences, user groups, and other customer-facing events.
  • Build territory strategy and pipeline in partnership with sales counterparts to contribute to revenue objectives.
  • Create clear user journey flows and architecture diagrams to communicate technical solutions.
